Storyline:

High up in the mountains, Ember, a young fire dragon, watched over her egg. She guarded it day and night, tending to it with her flames to keep it warm and safe from danger and anyone who might try to take it. For this was no ordinary dragon egg, but was destined to hatch the next guardian of the dragon realm. One afternoon, the shell started to crack. Realizing her baby dragon was trying to break out, and knowing the new little dragonet would be hungry, Ember hid the egg in a nest of diamonds and gold to keep it safe, then flew off to hunt for food. Though she wasn’t gone for long, when she got back, the egg was gone. Roaring in fury, she flew off into the night to search for it, but though she looked for hours, Ember couldn’t find it anywhere.

Ember needs your help to find her egg. But beware, the quest could be dangerous and will require great skill to solve its many puzzles.

How Does It Work:
Kids will visit 12 stations and solve a puzzle at each one, recording their answers on a recording sheet. Since some of the puzzles can be tricky, hint cards have been provided to help the kids solve the puzzles in case they get stuck. There is also an answer key so the party/activity host can give them some extra assistance if needed.

To set up the escape room, just print an answer sheet for each kid or group, and one set of puzzles and you’re good to go. You can set up the puzzles throughout the house to enhance gameplay or just spread them out on the floor or dining room table.

Once the kids have completed all the challenges, they’ll scan the provided QR code with a cell phone camera, then enter the 8-digit code they came up with as the password to a hidden website. If they enter the correct code, it will unlock a secret video to end their quest.
