Storyline:
It was Halloween night when all the ghouls and goblins came out to play. Cordelia the witch handed out the last of her candy to the little trick-or-treaters, then closed her door and turned off the lights. Straightening her pointy hat, she reached for her broom. But it was gone! Oh no! The Witch’s Ball was tonight. The one night a year when witches from all over would gather to drink eyeball punch, show off their spells, and dance until dawn. But without her broom, she had no way to get there. Cordelia searched the porch. She peeked in the candy cauldron. She even checked behind the jack-o-lanterns. But nothing.
Then she saw a piece of paper taped to the side of her house that had weird symbols on it. “What could this be?” Her cat, Mischief, who was watching her with wide, glowing eyes, began to meow urgently. “You’re right. Whoever left this must have taken my broom.”
Scooping him up, Cordelia ran across her lawn. “We must hurry. There’s no time to lose. We need to follow the clues and find my broom or I’ll never make it to the Witch’s Ball on time.”

How Does It Work:
Kids will visit 9 stations and solve a puzzle at each one, recording their answers on a recording sheet. Hint cards have been provided to help the kids solve the puzzles in case they get stuck.

To set up the escape room, just print an answer sheet for each kid or group, and one set of puzzles and you’re good to go. Set up the puzzles throughout the house to enhance gameplay or spread them out on the floor or dining room table.
